I found both of these on the net, they do a great job in describing what it is like to live with fibromyalgia.

I am posting these, not because I am depressed, just the opposite. I want people to be aware of what fibromyalgia is, and what it is like to deal with this illness.

I am not depressed thankfully, I am actually doing pretty well in that department, thanks to friends and family who care.

I have a lot of things good in my life. I appreciate the fact that I am so blessed.

Regarding my health though I have to live day by day with different levels of pain.

Today has been an awful pain day.

Here are the symptoms of what I am dealing with in the here and now regarding fibromyalgia.

Light hurts my eyes
Sound makes me nervous
I am having a hard time concentrating
Headaches are a constant
I have a sore throat and my voice fades in and out
I am having a hard time walking because the pain in my feet is so bad
The ache in my entire body is a constant
I am tired, I want to sleep but can not unless i take sleeping pills to dull the pain.

Each day is different truth be told. Sometimes the pain is worse, sometimes it is better. I never know until the day arrives.

The last few days I have dealt with my pain well.

Yesterday I went to the printers when all i wanted to do was crawl back in bed. Today I cleaned my house and unpacked boxes for our new bathroom. Tomorrow I go back to the printers.

When you have fibromyalgia, you either let it control your life and your days, or you fight through it, and find a way to work through the pain, and LIVE.

I blog about the bad times with fibro because it is my life, and it also helps me keep a journal that I can look back on and see whether the fibromyalgia is getting better or worse.

I just wish there was a cure. One that worked for me. One where i can say someday this pain will be gone.

My heart goes out for you sis. You and our sis in L.A are the only two
that i know that have this condition.
And until she finally told me more
about this, i truly did not understand any of this illness...
I would like to take this time to say how sorry i am for all those years that i have said it was all in your
head....I am so sorry that i doubted you. I know that i have learned from this lesson!!!!
I just wish that i could take this pain away from you and our other sis. She as well has said that she has to pretend that she is not in pain to just get through the day.
Meaning, that she knows she has to push herself daily in order to accomplish everyday duties....
I do feel so much for you guys.
And i do know that some days are
just impossible to do anything but
lay down and probably do a lot of
crying....Oh dear, i feel like crying now!!!!I think i need to stop writing now. You know how easy
our family cries, doesn't take much. We are a silly family aren't
we! ((GIGGLES))....
BIG TIME HUGS SENT YOUR WAY>>>>>
I LOVE YOU TRACY-XOXOXO

Tracy,

Very sorry your fibro is so bad right now. I do not know how you keep going the way you do. I know what you mean about brain fog. When the pain is so bad that I can't concentrate to do my writing or check out blogs etc. it is really frustrating. I am sure you have tried all of these but I have found that gentle exercise and stretching can help, also soaking in hot bath with epsom salts, meditation (if you have time), visualization. I have been working a bit using biofeedback to learn to better visualize releasing some of the pain. And, the biggest one that worked for me was to stop eating gluten. That just about halved my pain within a week or two. I don't really know anyone else that this has worked for but I haven't been able to really get many people to try it.

Anyway, sorry about the book! ;-) You are in my thoughts and I am sending you healing energy. Hope you feel better very soon.

Love,
Tamara

cuddle that Lily girl close - I swear puppies can remove some of the pain!

Tracy,

Hope your pain is better today. I wanted to write back and let you know that it is gluten (vs. glucose) so any wheat, barley, rye or oats(that don't say gluten free) so basically no bread or flour products, pasta etc. It sounds like a difficult diet but really isn't once you get used to how to cook a bit differently. For example you can get rice pasta which is just as good. Anyway, if you want to give it a try and have questions you can email me and I can even email you back my phone # if that would help. The diet may not be for you or work for you - it has just been a miracle for me. Still have pain but not near as bad.

Have a beautiful Saturday,
Tamara
