Okay not only do you get one post today but two! Since I am sharing songs, dancing and favorites I thought I would post this song also. It is my number one all time favorite song. Okay for the moment.... I very much relate with this song. It is why it touches my heart so much.
I hope everyone is fine. When things calm down for me I shall share what I have been up to as well as catch up on all my friends blogs. As for today? I want to dance.
Now who wants to dance with me?

Dancing mood
I am still around. I have just been very busy with my new puppy Lily, painting, and a few other things. This busy time will pass soon! I promise to catch up with everyone soon.
I am in a dancing mood today. This brought to mind my favorite dancing show called dancing with the stars. This was one of my favorite dances. I can hardly wait for the new season to begin.
Blessings.

What I am now painting
Here is my latest painting I am working on. Please feel free to share what you think.
I have a hard time with perception, so I have had to spend a lot of time working on the cabin itself. I think I have finally gotten it right. At least that is what my instructor and my engineer husband say. Today I feel I can now move forward in painting other things within the painting.
I want to put a stack of wood next to the cabin. Eventually there will be more trees, a fence outlining a road, some animal tracks in the snow, a pond that the cabin is overlooking, and finishing the painting off with it snowing.
I am off to paint. :) I will show you the painting again in the next stage.
Blessings!

A sad day.
You will always be remembered Blitz.
It has been a very sad day for my family. We had to put our dog down. His hind legs gave out on him.
I think one of the hardest things for both my husband and today was watching how heartbroken our sons were. We all are heartbroken because our dog was such a part of our family.
At least now though he is no longer in pain, and hopefully in doggy heaven eating all the steaks and doggie bones he wants.
I am feeling such sadness right now. I know it will pass, but right now I feel like I lost an important part of our family.
We really had a hard day today. All my guys and I tried our best to keep busy, but we all still had our poor blitz on our minds. I know that this pain will fade with time, but blitz was so very important to all of us. He became part of our family, and right now it is hard trying to imagine our days with out him. Thank you everyone for your good wishes. Thank you for your loving thoughts.

First Gallery showing.
Painting: Moonlight Birches
I have some exciting news. I have my first Gallery showing on the 17th of Feb. It is a showing for not only me but my entire class. The Gallery is small, and there probably wont be a huge turnout to see the showing, but it is important non-the-less and very exciting!
It is an important showing for all of us because this adds not only experience to our resume, but it will provide us publicity.
The next few weeks I will be spending time finishing up a painting i have started, and hopefully paint a couple more before the showing. I also have to decide on which paintings I want shown, and set a price for the ones I have chosen to be in the show. I do know the painting with this post will be part of the showing. I renamed it recently and it is now called Moonlight Birches.
I will try to visit blogs, and also keep everyone informed on how things are progressing, but will be busy getting ready for this show. Woohoo!
Blessings!

Poem: A painters story written by Mysti
Waiting for the Canvas to speak
Blank canvas staring back at me.
Blinding white is seen so bright.
Looking deep within my soul.
Waiting for feelings to release and share.
Picking up paint brush I start to paint.
Feeling the images of the soul pouring out to my brush.
Seeing a picture come to mind.
Brush in hand, dipping in paint, and making the canvas come to life.
Swirling colors replacing the white.
Whispers heard, and guiding hand.
Brush flowing on canvas while images start to appear.
Colors, light, and loving strokes form the story of my soul.
Feelings, soul and heart are released.
A new story is born.
More Healing has just begun.

A day to enjoy
Another Birthday has arrived. I was going to sit down and write a long post about what I am thinking on this day. I have mixed feelings about getting older. It does not seem possible I am as old as I am. I certainly feel my age at times, but mostly I feel younger.
So far today It has started out lovely with my husband and sons giving me some special gifts. My husband bought me my very own lap top and gave it to me on Christmas. He said it was also my birthday present. He really spoiled me this year. I am still trying to figure out all the programs for this computer. My sons gave me a Rachel Ray cookbook and a lovely trio of woodland rabbits for our new home. ( I love the woods.)
The phone calls started up early. It is so nice to be remembered and so loved. I am a very blessed lady. :)
I have decided that I want to spend the rest of my day painting. It is a day for pampering myself, and to enjoy. So that is what I am going to do. Writing in my blog all my thoughts shall have to wait for tomorrow.
Blessings Everyone!
