A sad day.

You will always be remembered Blitz.

It has been a very sad day for my family. We had to put our dog down. His hind legs gave out on him.

I think one of the hardest things for both my husband and today was watching how heartbroken our sons were. We all are heartbroken because our dog was such a part of our family.

At least now though he is no longer in pain, and hopefully in doggy heaven eating all the steaks and doggie bones he wants.

I am feeling such sadness right now. I know it will pass, but right now I feel like I lost an important part of our family.

We really had a hard day today. All my guys and I tried our best to keep busy, but we all still had our poor blitz on our minds. I know that this pain will fade with time, but blitz was so very important to all of us. He became part of our family, and right now it is hard trying to imagine our days with out him. Thank you everyone for your good wishes. Thank you for your loving thoughts.

I am so sorry to hear about your beloved pet. Definately the down side of having these wonderful animals in your life is losing them.

That was a beatiful painting where did you find it?

As for the other.. lord I really hate that part. I have had to put a life long friend to sleep and sobbed for days... it breaks your heart to have to do that.. hugs

I dont know if you got it via email, but here it is again. Hugs.

Message To My Master(s)

The day you laid me down to sleep
you prayed to the Lord; my soul to keep
I know you had to send me on my way
but you sent me to a new; better; and much brighter day

You sent me home; to heaven above
where I'm cradled in God's arms; covered with His love
I understand what you did; you did out of love
and I'll return that love; from my new home above

My sickness is gone; and I'm free here to roam
I run and play in the meadows; here in my new home
We play here by the Bridge; from morning to night
there is no rain here; just warm sunlight

I know you all miss me; I miss you all too
but I'll always be with you; whatever you do
Please wipe the tears; from your weeping eyes
by remembering the good times; from days gone by

When you look out; into the dark of night
I'll be that bright star; your guiding light
We'll meet again at the Bridge one day
when we'll walk in the light; together to stay

You did lose an important part of your family!!! I swear when I lost my little Emmy it was harder on me than losing the people in my life I had recently lost. For many of us our pets ARE family members and the best kind. They have no expectations and give the only true unconditional love. It is a great loss and you have my sympathies

Sorry Mysti... As much as I bad-mouth my Cats, they are a part of my family and it is always hard to lose a pet you have had for a long time. Hang in there! Blitz is running all over the place in Doggie heaven.

we are so sorry for your loss, losing a pet is as bad as losing a member of your family because to your family, he was. Our Shakespeare was the same way. We still miss him and it has been 7 months, you have every right to feel like you do.

Oh my gracious. I can't imagine it. I've had friends who also loved their fur family enough to not allow them to suffer and I dread the day I have to do the same. I'm truly sorry for your loss.
