I have spoken about Fibromyalgia before, but found this great video and it really does say it all. We are now entering the season (hurricane season) where my fibro gets really bad. All through the year fibro is bad for me, but this time of year seems to knock me off my feet. It always surprises me because I tend to feel better during the summer months. I have better days, and right when i think wow i feel great, fall arrives and with it the storms start to flow into our area... I then feel so discouraged because i realize that the relief was for a short amount of time, and I have to wait for another year before experiencing that relief again.
I try to stay positive during these upcoming months. Sometimes it works, while at other times I will go silent weeks at a time because I hurt to much. Although If I can stay positive, I find it helps in a lot of ways. It at least keeps me going and looking forward.
I also paint during these months if I can push myself into doing so. I paint because I am able to disappear in my works, at least for a short amount of time I can actually forget about the pain, it is there yes... but it is pushed aside in the fog somewhere.. It is hard to explain. Not sure if that makes sense.
I hope this video helps others understand better what fibro suffers deal with. I know that it is a long video but it really is worth watching. The info is amazing! It is the best video i have seen out there so far. The song is not so bad either. Smiling...
Blessings to all my friends out there in blogger land. :)

I sent you a message on FB. Thanks again for the video. I have already sent it out to some people! This topic really hit the spot today as I have been dealing with increased pain.
I am so glad that your painting allows you to withdraw from the pain for a bit. Writing and cooking do that for me. I certainly understand the "going silent." Sometimes it is all I can do to manage the pain and that leaves me exhausted.
Hopefully they will find better treatments soon. Although, I really haven't heard much about new research. Hopefully I just don't have my ear to the ground! I do know that there are still many doctors who do not believe that it is even real. :(
Hang in there and know that I am thinking of you.
Hugs,
Tamara
It's been for years now I wished and still do this "thing" leave you alone.
I'm sorry you're not alright Tracy, wish could do something about it.
I also have fibromyalgia. I am so sorry yours is flaring up.Mine also is worst in the winter. Good video.
Tracy sending you hugs and hoping that you will post through the hard times so that we can all benefit from your strength.
♥
Great Video
Dear one I am here listening. I really hope your pain will not get really bad!! Sending you safe hugs ((((Tracy))))
Fibromyalgia is often aggravated due to stress and strain and being sluggish. It might also cause due to lack of exercise. Doing exercise in daily routine, talking walk, can relieve pain. Aqua or water aerobics is the simplest exercise for those ailing from fibromyalgia pain, also specially for over weight people.
((((Tracy))))
Sometimes we can do everything right and the pain still comes. It is not predictable or preventable in all cases. Hugs to you and I hope that you are hanging in there!
Love,
Tamara

The above posting from Joan really upset me because yes fibromyalgia can be brought on by stress, and i am sure that being over weight does not help... However that comment was posted by someone who does not have all the facts, and nothing upsets me more then someone making statements on something they know nothing about! My fibro has been brought on by weather change... and over working my body in truth. I am exercising a lot! lol
I needed to hear your comment, and i felt better! I knew you understood. Thank you for commenting again. Hugssss and i certainly hope you feel better soon my friend.
Blessings
Tracy,
I have plenty of stress in my life; but, who doesn't! I am also a bit overweight, now, thanks to meds to help me sleep because with the fibro, I cannot. However, I still exercise, I eat well, I manage my stress the best I can, and, I have been dealing with this disease for 10 years and KNOW MY BODY! Still, sometimes, the pain persists. I hope that some fibro sufferers can do some water aerobics and be fine. I can't. I also suspect that you can't. However, I know that you are doing all that you can and that you know your body. The evidence is that you have figured out that painting can relieve some of your pain for a bit. We each need to undertand our own bodies, needs, limits and what works for us each, individually. I feel guilty enough about what the pain is taking away from my family. I don't need anymore "shoulds."
Okay, rant over! ;-)
Hugs, Tamara
Grins because you took the words right out of my mouth. Thank you Tamara for you ongoing support. I truly appreciate it. I do work out, and even work out in water.
(((Tamara))) You can rant any ole time you like on my blog my friend. It is a blessing knowing i am not alone in those feelings.
Blessings and hugs sent your way.
