Finally I fell in love with some of the tools in my drawing class. We used soft pastels today. I fell in love with how they glided across the paper, and how you could blend them with your fingers. This picture of a baby wild cat is the result of an hour and a half of working with soft pastels. Not perfect work, but it was enough progress for me to know i will be working with pastels again. :)
Looks for a sale on a soft pastel kit......

Mike, Mary, Tart and Stacy,
Glad you enjoyed the pic. It is amateurish, but something about it i really like. Its not to bad for a first time shot at drawing an animal. :) Add the fact that when i paint in a classroom situation I tend to not produce very good work, due to I work best when i paint alone, its not to bad... lol. I can hardly wait for when i get pastels, and alone time to see what I do! Grins. Tart ty for the coupon, you rock gf!
Hey! You are welcome! Always glad to help and you really did a beautiful job on this baby bob cat! I can't wait to see what you do in the future as well.:):):)

Very nice work. I never tried them before. I may just have to give them a try.
Tracy,
Beautiful work. I LOVE pastels. I did a picture of my dog once. It is so fun getting your fingers in them!
The paintings by your niece and nephew are wonderful. They have real talent but you must also be a fantastic teacher.
I am very sorry to hear about your brother-in-law. I hope that they figure out what is up and can treat it so that he can be healthy very soon. He is in my prayers.
Very sorry to hear that you are so overwhelmed and worn out. It is understandable though. You have a lot on your plate. I agree that mothering is a full-time job and working on top of that is a lot. It sounds like you ARE working full-time and being a full-time mother. You are right, you definitely need and deserve some Tracy time!
Hope you get it very soon.
Hugs,
Tamara
